Churches nationwide distribute these beautiful handmade crosses on Palm Sunday and Easter. These crosses are appropriate for Pastoral visits, Bible Study, Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, etc. This outreach mission was founded in 1965 by a missionary working in Tanzania, he noticed the poverty and developed a way for farming families to augment their income, improving their living conditions.
The palm fronds are harvested from the local forest, dried and handwoven into crosses. Each cross is approximatly 4-1/2" x 6" and sold in bags of 50. Neither the trees nor the crosses have been artificially treated and are environmentaly safe.
